Beginner Metalsmithing Thursday 6-week Artist Series
Starts Thursday, May 18th (Thursday afternoons from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. for six weeks.)
NOTE: There is no class on 6/22. A date will be added at the end.
IMPORTANT: Masks are optional.
This class will expose students to the basics of metalsmithing. Students will be introduced to the tools and techniques required to make custom, handmade jewelry. Techniques such as forming, sawing, soldering, and riveting will be covered. We will be making rings, earrings, and pendants. No prior experience needed. An overview can be emailed upon request.
Fee does not include materials. The materials supply kit is $26 and can be purchased directly from the instructor.
Non-members: $250 for 6 weeks. Members: $200.
About the instructor: Racheal Cooley graduated from Empire State University with a degree in art and biology. She was first introduced to metal smith in high school and fell in love with the medium.
