Creative Research and Artistic Practice with Elaine Ng

Creative Research and Artistic Practice with Elaine Ng
Part of a series hosting Maine-based artists looking at the intersection of nature and art hosted by Unity Environmental University on Pineland Campus.
A first-generation American born to immigrants from Taiwan and Hong Kong, Ng was raised in a bilingual household and thinks of her work as ongoing efforts in translation. She is the recipient of a U.S. Fulbright Fellowship and has lectured and held visiting positions at NSCAD University, Tainan National University of the Arts, and China Academy of Art. She utilizes material investigation and process-based practices to explore our relationships to place and how we form knowledge.
