Exhibit: Gary Hoyle’s “Aspects of Nature”

Recent works by Swan’s Island artist Gary Hoyle, featuring flowing, marbleized surfaces created with water, oil, and oil paint. Also included are the artist’s realistic animal sculptures, representational landscape paintings, and a variety of his watercolors and drawings. Hoyle was an artist for exhibits and the curator of natural history at the Maine State Museum for 28 years. His sculptures and paintings have been exhibited in museums and galleries throughout the United States, including Chicago’s Field Museum. And he has been an Artist-in-Residence at Acadia National Park twice.
