Independence Day at Old York: A Community Free Day and Old York’s 125th Anniversary
Did you know that Old York opened as the Old Gaol Museum on July 4, 1900? Please join us this July 4th to celebrate Old York’s 125th anniversary. Our historic buildings are open and free to all.
Come see our popular exhibition, The Best of York: Treasures from the Collection, featuring the renowned Bulman Bed Hangings. The Old Gaol will be open, along with Jefferds Tavern and the York Corner School House.
And don’t miss a special FREE walking tour at 1:00 pm, Answering the Call: York’s Wartime Service. Tickets for the tour will be available at the Museum Center, however, we encourage you to reserve tickets online as space is limited.
