The Maine Outdoor Film Festival’s flagship event is held each July in Maine’s cultural capital, Portland. This year, from July 23 to July 27, MOFF will welcome thousands including filmmakers, outdoor enthusiasts, art lovers, and brands to its five-day, multi-venue film festival. Featuring international outdoor adventure and environmental documentaries screened at local theaters and outside under the stars; as well as expert panels, networking events and much more.

Accepted Films and the full schedule will be announced in early June.

After the flagship event, MOFF brings the 2025 films on a tour of 15 Maine towns, curating a unique program of outdoor adventure and conservation films for each destination.

MOFF also does one-off themed film events at other times in the year around topics such as Climate Change, Mental Health, International Women’s Day and Earth Day. These popular screenings bring together members of the MOFF community around a common issue and often include a panel discussion after the films.
