The Kneeling Art Photo Exhibit 2
Opening Reception to July 2-30 The Kneeling Art Photo Exhibit 2 at The Francis, 747 Congress Street in Portland. Ten Maine photographers photographed 80 residents of Maine from many backgrounds representing dozens of communities from new immigrants to Maine to community activists to business leaders across the state. The 80 Mainers "took a Knee" in solidarity with those struggling to end systemic racism and to achieve social justice. All persons photographed explained their personal reasons for kneeling. These statements are posted beneath the images in the exhibit. The 10 photographers: John Ochira, Ann Tracey, Amy Bellezza, Dave Wade, Rose Barboza, Tim Greenway, Aymer Mpouki, Kelli LK Haines, John Ripton and Titi de Baccarat. The exhibits Opening is July 2, 5-8 p.m. at The Francis (hotel), 747 Congress Street, Portland Maine. Guest Artists: Mosart 212 and The Love Factory (music and dance)
