Chatham Trails Association maintains approximately 40 miles of hiking trails around Evans Notch in the White Mountain National Forest in Maine and New Hampshire. Join us for a FREE weekend of trail work to help keep these trails in good condition. These weekends are a great way to connect with others and to give back to the trails we are so passionate about. Comfortable accommodations available at the AMC Cold River Camp and all meals provided from dinner Friday to sack lunch on Monday. Prior trailwork experience is welcome but not necessary--we'll gladly teach new volunteers. Event runs from about 6pm Friday to Monday after breakfast with full days of trailwork on Saturday and Sunday and the possibility of smaller projects on Monday morning. Registration required by May 15. There is no cost to volunteer at this event and tools will be provided.

Every summer (June-August) we host a weekly group paddle for sea kayakers from June through August. These one-hour sessions are a chance for local paddlers to get on the water together in the early morning when seas on Casco Bay are more likely to be calm.
These paddles are led by our staff, who are happy to share their knowledge, but these are not guided trips and you should not join if you need instruction or assistance in order to participate. Please consider taking one of our lessons or joining a tour if you are new to sea kayaking.
