The Groon Show is about The Groon, a part-broccoli/part-human creature looking for his place in the sun. A misfit among cruciferous vegetables and an oddity among humans, The Groon just wants to share his love for life and music but somehow gets everyone in a tizzy. The Groon Show is about love: romance, family, community, and our selves. Learning to love ourselves is a long journey, but if The Groon can do it, so can we.

The Groon Show is an original "Broc 'n Roll" musical for the whole family, written by Maine songwriter Jay E Moores and directed by Hazel de Mesa. The two of them recorded and published the songs on Spotify and other music sharing platforms last year. They debuted three of the songs at the open mic at the Bazz last New Year's Eve with positive responses from the packed audience. The project comes full circle as the entire musical premieres on the same stage before the year is done. The show is independently produced with support from the Belfast Maskers. A portion of the proceeds will help fund the Maskers' 2026 season.

The cast includes John Conway as The Groon, Stephanie Winslow, Gwen Sauvage, Alan Cohen, Mariia Kovshova, Daria Kovshova, and Ivy Lobato.

Studio Theatre of Bath presents the 12th Annual Twisted Christmas Fundraiser on December 12th and 13th at 8 PM, at Long Reach Kitchen & Catering at 387 Whiskeag Road. This variety show is for adults only and presents music, comedy, dance, improv, audience participation & classic Christmas themes with a twist. STB President Kirstin Hayward adds, "Twisted Christmas has become a new holiday tradition for hundreds of audience members for more than a decade."

Greater Freeport Community Chorus presents their Holiday concerts featuring “A Ceremony of Carols” by Benjamin Britten's along with songs and carols from around the world. The program highlights music from cultures and communities around the world and shows how music can help foster peace.

Let it Snow features a new variety of festive classics from Frank Sinatra and Chuck Berry to Burl Ives and Brenda Lee, including a stunning multi-media finale by the Trans Siberian Orchestra. The soundtrack is visually enhanced with thematic animation and is an entertaining experience for all ages, especially families.

Get ready for an exhilarating evening of music, food, dancing, and Chanukah cheer! Join Congregation Etz Chaim for our annual Chanukah celebration, including a potluck dinner, menorah lighting, community fundraiser, sing-along, children’s activities, live klezmer music from The Casco Bay Tummlers, and Israeli dancing with instructor Barbara Merson.

Open to the public; registration is required for both in-person and online participation.

Scottish Country Dance is the ballroom dance of Scotland, done in longwise sets of several couples. We meet weekly to learn and enjoy the dances. All dances are taught. We recommend soft soled, flexible shoes. Bring a water bottle. There is a beginner/preview session at 5 p.m. by request. Note, we do not dance during the month of December.
