The Festival of Trees is a cherished annual event that transforms the Waterville Elks Lodge into a winter wonderland, beautifully decorated with dazzling trees, each uniquely adorned with fantastic gifts curated by local businesses and organizations. We invite the community to revel in the holiday spirit while supporting community initiatives. Join us at Libby Library in OOB for a new recurring program that will let your crafty side loose! Starting this October, we’ll be hosting Crafternoons on the first and third Friday at from 1:00 – 3:00 pm! This program is designed for adult crafters.
On the first Friday of the month, we’ll be doing a guided craft with instruction to make projects and learn techniques like decoupage and scrapbooking. On the third Friday of the month, there will be no guided project. It will be time to work on your own crafty projects (bring your supplies!) in the company of other crafters!
We will also be establishing a craft swap shelf with this program, so if you’ve got leftover supplies from crafts that no longer hold your interest, you are more than welcome to bring them with you to the library for other crafters to try out!
This program is free, open to the public, and no registration is required.

African drumming is back at Maine MILL for our next Movement at the Museum session Friday, September 29 from 5-6pm. Eric and Barbara vanBok return for this popular class to teach a drumming tradition from the Malinké people of Guinea, West Africa on djembe (hand drum) and dunun (bass drum). Everyone, including complete beginners, can join in on the fun, and will get an opportunity to play each type of drum. We start out slowly and build the complete, layered rhythm until the magic of the African melody is revealed.
Join us for (one hour) Trivia in the brewhouse with our friend Megh. The questions will commence every Friday starting promptly at 6 pm. Walk-ins are not guaranteed a seat, but we'll absolutely do our best to squeeze you in, if we can. If you are making a reservation for your team, please account for all the members of your team. Groups can be up to six players. Bite Into Maine will be here for all of your tasty dinner or snacking needs. As always we’ll have delicious beer, wine, cider, and n/a bevs flowing. We can’t wait to see you and your fantastic team names!
