As the state mobilizes for an unprecedented immunization effort against COVID-19, the University of New England is preparing to train more than 100 pharmacists, technicians and pharmacy interns to administer the vaccine.
Maine is one of six states that allow pharmacy technicians to give vaccinations during the pandemic. The 20-hour training will begin this Thursday and end the following Tuesday.
A spokesperson for UNE says 116 people have signed up so far.
