Police Looking for Couple After Missing Girl Was Returned

AUGUSTA, Maine - Maine State Police and local authorities are still trying to locate a 26-year-old New York woman and her boyfriend in connection with an Amber Alert case earlier this week in Augusta.

The Kennebec Journal reports that Augusta police are considering Fatima "China'' Gissentaner and her boyfriend, who's been identified only as "Dollar,'' as persons of interest in the case involving 3-year-old Lenore "Lenny'' Wilson.

Wilson was reported missing Tuesday morning and was brought to the Augusta police station nearly 12 hours later by a group that included Dollar, an acquaintance of Gissentaner's and Wilson's mother.

Deputy Chief Jared Mills says police have information on the couple's whereabouts and are following up on leads.

At this point charges have not been filed against the couple.
