AUGUSTA, Maine - The Maine Secretary of State's Office will conduct a recount of a state house district race that was decided by just 14 votes.
The House District 19 recount is scheduled for Friday. Democrat Jean Noon of Sanford asked for the recount after she appeared to lose the race to Republican Matthew A. Harrington.
Noon is the widow of Rep. William Noon, who died in July.
House District 19 covers part of Sanford. The term will cover one year.
The Secretary of State's Office says it will post the results of the recount on its website and on social media.
