Maine Gov. Janet Mills, who is attending the summer meeting of the National Governors Association in Salt Lake City, says she’ll make a pitch to have next year’s meeting in Maine.
Mills says the annual session offers valuable information.
“We’re excited to share with other states what we have done and learn from other states what they have done in terms of ecotourism and promoting the great outdoors in a safe and a climate smart way,” she says.
The last time the nation’s governors met in Maine was in 1983.
