Behind barriers in Guilford, Trump supporters await President Trump's arrival.

A federal  judge has denied a request from a Blue Hill activist to stop the police from closing roads around the town of Guilford, in advance of President Donald Trump's visit there today.Judge Lance Walker writes that available evidence doesn't show that access will be denied, and that the suit was filed, effectively, on hearsay.

Attorney Logan Perkins, who's representing Khalif Williams,  says the lawsuit was based on multiple sources, including a story published in a local newspaper.  In the meantime, Perkins says the Sheriff's Office has posted to its Facebook page a more limited closure plan which would only close roads near the factory that President Trump is planning to visit.

"Without commenting on the constitutionality of those closures and, until we see exactly how things unfold today, that's certainly a dramatic departure from what the Piscataquis County Observer was reporting yesterday," Perkins says.

Perkins has said that a denial from the judge would not likely discourage Williams and others from going to Guilford anyway.
