ROCKLAND, Maine — The school board here has voted unanimously to hold Saturday classes to make up for snow days.
According to the Bangor Daily News, the board approved a plan from district Superintendent John McDonald to hold classes March 21, March 28, April 11 and May 9, as well as a half day March 13. Those five, added to five days already set aside in the school calendar, make up for 10 days called off for snow this winter.
The Rockland-area district, Regional School Unit 13, includes the communities of Rockland, Thomaston, St. George, South Thomaston, Owls Head and Cushing.
