Former U.S. senator and majority leader from South Dakota Tom Daschle who served in the U.S. Senate from 1987 to 2005 delivered Colby College's Senator George J. Mitchell Distinguished International Lecture. Senator Daschle is one of the longest-serving Senate Democratic leaders in history and the only one to serve twice as both majority and minority leader.
