Mobile and manufactured homes are a relatively affordable option for those in Maine seeking housing. Many of these homes are grouped in parks or communities, and residents pay rent to live on these sites. We’ll discuss how living in mobile or manufactured homes can become unaffordable if corporate entities purchase the sites, as well as how some residents are finding ways to work together to take control of their communities. And how are the state and other agencies helping them?
This show is part of our series “The Cost of Living: Maine’s Housing Shortage.”
