The Midcoast Forum on Foreign Relations recently hosted a talk by Murhaf Jouejati, a Syrian-born specialist on Middle East affairs, particularly Syrian politics, for a speech entitled "Syria: A New Perspective."
Dr. Jouejati is currently a Professor of Middle East Studies at the National Defense University’s Near East South Asia Center for Strategic Studies. He is also a Professorial Lecturer in Political Science and International Affairs at the George Washington University, as well as an adjunct scholar at the Middle East Institute in Washington, DC. He is one of the founding members of the Syrian National Council and a strong proponent of the anti-Assad regime in Syria.
