TOUGH GATOR CHALLENGE: Muddy fun for Everyone!
Lewiston, ME —The Geiger Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization announces the return of the Tough Gator Challenge, an obstacle course and mud run for Lewiston-area elementary school children. This rain-or-shine event is scheduled for Saturday, June 7th, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Raymond A. Geiger Elementary School on College Street in Lewiston. Participants will start in waves every 15 minutes throughout the day.

Celebrating its 10th year, the Tough Gator Challenge is Maine’s premier mud run for kids, drawing nearly 700 participants annually. The fun-filled obstacle course involves climbing, crawling, cheering, and lots of mud and is open to all grade levels and guaranteed to be a blast for students and families. Family members of all ages are encouraged to register and participate together.

The focus of the event is on being active, using teamwork, getting muddy and having fun! The race is not timed, but all youth finishers will receive the honorary title of “Tough Gator” and a t-shirt. The first wave of Tough Gator hopefuls start at 10:00 a.m.. There will be raffles, concessions, and a dunk tank.
