24 Hour New Play Festival (Participants Information)
Ten Bucks Theatre Company is excited to present the 11th Annual 24-Hour New Play Festival!
“Why do we keep doing this every year, you ask?
Because it’s sooooo much FUN!!!”
In a period of 24 hours, participants will write, rehearse, and perform a series of original 10 to 15 minute plays.
The 24-Hour New Play Festival will take place at the Unitarian Universalist Church, located at 120 Park St. in Bangor. Participants will meet on the evening of Friday, Sep. 26th, be put into ‘draw from a hat’ groups and attend workshops on acting, directing, and writing. The writers will then take their ideas home to compose an approximately 10- to 15-minute play, which they will bring back to the church on Saturday morning.
Actors, directors, writers and tech crew will then begin the job of bringing these ‘brand spanking new’ shows to life for a 7 pm performance on Saturday, Sep. 27th!
Participant Registration is now open and ends Wednesday, Sep. 24th. There is a $10 registration fee that can be prepaid at: https://shorturl.at/lSLY9 or at the door by time of check-in on Sep. 26th.
