35th Eastport Salmon & Seafood Festival
EASTPORT, Maine – The 35th Eastport Salmon & Seafood Festival will be held September 2 and 3 in the historic downtown district.
Seafood Saturday’s lunch will feature crab rolls and clam chowder under the tent in the Fisherman Statue parking lot. There will be live music from regional musicians and craft vendors. Saturday morning will feature the George S. Harris Memorial Fishing Derby for youth at the Breakwater Pier. Other events on Saturday are the Traveling Touch Tank of Marine Animals from Downeast Institute, wine and smoked salmon tasting at Phoenix Wine Bar, and Eastport Art Center’s Open Mic Night at the Sutherland Amphitheater Saturday evening.
Salmon Sunday showcases the big barbecued salmon dinner with Raye’s Mustard Winter Garden sauce, roasted potatoes, buttered peas, homemade rolls, and Maine blueberry dessert. The dinner will be served from 11 am to 3 pm under the tent in the Fisherman Statue parking lot and will feature regional musicians. A free boat tour of the salmon pens aboard Eastport Windjammer’s vessel is included with the meal. Also, on Sunday, the Tides Institute will sponsor two events.
