AUTHOR PETER D. BROWN

AUTHOR PETER D. BROWN

Wednesday, May 14 at 5:30 PM. Author Peter Brown. Peter Brown will be here at the Graves Library on Wednesday, May 14, @ 5:30 pm to talk about his book, “I am Jayvyn”. Peter is a Maine-based author of historical fiction with a deep interest in social justice and a passion for preserving history. His writing relies on a deep commitment to historical accuracy while aiming to illuminate stories of the oppressed or misunderstood. Presented alongside proclivities typical of the human condition, he challenges his readers to confront uncomfortable truths and engage with the complexities of the human experience. This novel is a compelling work of historical fiction positioned to remind readers of the reality of the transatlantic slave trade and the key role the enslaved played in the development of America. Cir. 1710: On a beautiful morning full of hope and promise, twelve-year-old Javyn’s world is suddenly shattered when English slavers raid his peaceful village. Copies of the book will be available for sale and signing after the program. The Louis T. Graves Memorial Public Library is located at 18 Maine Street, Kennebunkport. For further information, please call 967-2778 or visit our website at www.graveslibrary.org.
