Celebrate! The final concert of the 2023 Bach Virtuosi Festival will feature some of the greatest musicians performing, including members of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Portland Symphony, and the greatest piccolo violinist performing today.
The concert opens with the ambitious Brandenburg Concerto No. 1, featuring oboists John Ferrillo, Amanda Hardy, and Catherine Weinfield-Zell, as well as horns Richard Sebring and Rachel Childersn from BSO, and the premiere piccolo violinist Daniel Lee.
Following, three Handel arias that feature soprano Sherezade Panthaki, countertenor Jay Carter, tenor Brian Giebler, and bass-baritone Paul Max Tipton.
The outstanding vocalists and a four-person choir will close out the festival with Bach's superb Cantata 140, Wachet auf.
