Grindle Point Light Station, Islesboro, Maine – Lighthouse Tower Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, June 29 at 6 p.m.
Visit Grindle Point Light Station for a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the re-opening of the Grindle Point Light Station Lighthouse Tower and the 175th Anniversary. Refreshments will be served.
Enter the drawing for a T-shirt and be the first person along with four of your family or friends to climb the steps to the tower for an amazing view (must be over 18 years of age to enter drawing). All climbers must be school-age or older.
Climb to the lantern room, enjoy the panoramic views of Penobscot Bay, visit the museum and gift shop, and enjoy an enlightening conversation with one of our knowledgeable museum attendants. The grounds include the lighthouse, sailors’ memorial museum, boat house, and oil house.
