The nearest Compassus office is located in Scarborough.
About the speaker, Mercedes Sonnie, LPN:
“With over two decades of experience, I have enjoyed nursing in a wide array of environments including psychiatric health, spinal cord injury, and geriatric care. I have held many roles from Charge Nurse to Resident Care Director, and Unit Nurse Manager. For the last five years, I have been a Hospice Nurse and Volunteer Manager with Compassus. I love wearing many hats including being an active nurse educator for our local community. Many nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and CNA programs invite me to provide education about death and dying. The most rewarding work I have done has been end-of-life care where I have been able to combine my nursing skills with my love of teaching. For fun, I like to spend time in nature while finding adventure with activities such as hiking and whitewater rafting.” – Mercedes Sonnie
