The Kennebunkport Captains Collection, a downtown Kennebunkport jewel from the Lark Hotels collection, announces its third annual Captain’s Christmas, a yearly celebration during Christmas Prelude with a dreamy holiday market, events for all ages, and lavish hotel offerings. Captain’s Christmas will take place during Kennebunkport’s iconic Christmas Prelude festivities from December 6th through December 15th, when spirited travelers flock to the idyllic town square for an occasion that has built the area’s reputation as one of the top Christmas destinations in the world.

Holiday Maker’s Market:
The pinnacle of Kennebunkport Captains Collection’s Captain’s Christmas celebration is its picturesque holiday Maker’s Market. KCC guests and visitors are invited to shop for new and vintage home goods, apparel, accessories, and seasonal decor in the Nathaniel Lord Mansion’s rustic Carriage House space, which is transformed into a winter wonderland for the occasion with twinkling Christmas trees and photo-worthy holiday decor. Outside, roaring fire pits and a complimentary hot chocolate bar provide extra warmth. The Maker’s Market will be open daily from December 6th through December 15th from 10am to 5pm, with the exception of December 15th when the market will close at 3pm.

Hotel Experiences:
Just blocks from Dock Square, the Kennebunkport Captains Collection offers 45 guest rooms and suites within four storied captains’ homes. Guests who choose to stay onsite during Christmas Prelude can opt for extra special touches with exclusive hotel packages:

● The Ultimate Prelude Experience package includes two overnights in the opulent Fairfield Suite, complete with a private outdoor Igloo stocked with hot cocoa and an artisan cheese board, a butler-drawn bath service, and an in-room spa kit. This package also includes all access to Kennebunkport Captains Collection Prelude events. The Ultimate Prelude Experience Package can be booked for a $399 fee in addition to the price of a two-night stay in the Fairfield Suite. Only five of this luxe offering are available.
● Also available is the Prelude Wonderland package, featuring a seasonal welcome basket, a holiday ornament from the Carriage House’s holiday market, 25% off all Maker’s Market purchases, and admission for two to an Everlasting Winter Wreath Making event. The Prelude Wonderland Package can be added to any reservation for $110.
● Just steps from the Kennebunkport Captains Collection, sister property, AWOL Kennebunkport, will offer discounted rates to guests who stay onsite from Sunday through Thursday during Christmas Prelude. The code PRELUDE will activate a 20% discount on midweek stays of two or more nights.

Private igloo rentals are also available exclusively to Kennebunkport Captains Collection guests for $125 per hour and a half rental period, and include the use of an electric fireplace, cozy blankets, an indulgent holiday s'mores kit, and specialty cheeses for up to four guests.

Daily Events:
In addition to the Maker’s Market and hotel guest offerings, all are welcome to for the Kennebunkport Captains Collection’s festive Captain’s Christmas events, including:

● Everlasting Winter Wreath Making:
Adults and children ages 8+ are invited to create long-lasting holiday wreaths at these creative, daily events. Tickets are available via Eventbrite and include supplies for one large or two small holiday wreaths.
● Family Crafts:
All ages are welcome for family arts and crafts in the Carriage House with daily, ticketed time slots. Crafts include two orange pomander balls and two ornaments. Tickets are available via Eventbrite.
● Live Music:
Local musician Ross Gregor Adam will perform two live, acoustic sets on December 7th and 14th from 1-4 pm.
● Texas Grace Food Truck:
Enjoy flavors of real Texas BBQ on December 7th and 14th beginning at 12 pm on the Nathaniel Lord Mansion lawn.
