The Maine Attorney General is announcing a meeting of the Maine Recovery Council on Thursday, January 11th, 2024 at 1:30 pm in Augusta in the Department of Health and Human Services Building, in rooms Maine A and B at 109 Capitol Street. The Council’s work is to investigate the statewide needs for fighting the opioid crisis in Maine and to plan for distributions throughout the state of certain funds from legal settlements or bankruptcies to address the opioid crisis, including to 1) prevent opioid addiction; 2) prevent and reverse opioid overdoses; and 3) help Maine citizens recover from addiction.
