Paint the Peninsula Week

Paint the Peninsula Week
Every year, more than ninety artists create over 100 paintings for a week-long auction at the Blue Hill Public Library, which this year starts Monday July 14, and culminates in a celebration on Saturday July 19, from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. BHPL’s Paint the Peninsula event showcases the work of mostly-local artists, including newcomers and well-established painters. The final moments of bidding will take place during the party, which always leads to additional excitement.
During the auction week, paintings will be available for viewing online (www.fundraiser.support/BHPLptp2025) or in-person at the library. Bidding is online only. Offering a broad range of painting styles and points of view, Paint the Peninsula Week is a great opportunity to start buying local art or add to an established collection. Sales support both the Blue Hill Library’s operating budget and the local arts community. Anyone can place bids on the auction website at
www.fundraiser.support/BHPLptp2025. Volunteers will be available to show people how to bid.
The Blue Hill Public Library is an independent, non-profit organization serving all of the Blue Hill Peninsula and depends on the financial support of the local community. For more information, call the library at 374-5515 or visit www.bhpl.net.
