We cordially invite you to the Second Annual Schoodic Food Pantry Chinese Auction to be held on Saturday, July 19th, 2025 from 8 am to 1 pm at the Gouldsboro Recreation Center, 679 Pond Road, Gouldsboro.

Over 325 donated goods, services, and gift certificates worth nearly $25,000 will be part of the Chinese Auction as well as a 50/50 raffle, and a delicious, decadent dessert bar donated by Corea Catering and other volunteers. Last year, we raised over $16,000 to help stock the shelves at the pantry.

The Schoodic Food Pantry is an all volunteer organization that began two and a half years ago with 35 families receiving food assistance. Today, the pantry serves 1100+ individuals and 450+ families per month including the most vulnerable to food insecurity - 300+ children under the age of 18; 30+ veterans; and 370+ folks over the age of 50. Between 2500 and 3000 pounds of non-perishable food and fresh fruit and vegetables go out the door each week indicating the extreme need in our community.

There are no income guidelines, and no one is turned away with the pantry donating to those in need hailing from 20 towns ranging from Ellsworth to Machias - all out of the former, tiny D.O.T. office along Route 1 in Gouldsboro.
