Thomas Hill Standpipe Fall Tour

Thomas Hill Standpipe Fall Tour
Bangor Water invites the public to the Thomas Hill Standpipe for their fall tour, Wednesday, October 4th from 3 PM to 6 PM.
Thomas Hill Standpipe is a functioning water storage facility that was built in 1897 and designated as a National Historic Landmark. The promenade deck is accessed by way of a staircase with 100 steps and offers panoramic views of Bangor and its surrounding areas. Bangor Water's volunteer staff will be on hand to answer questions about this historic structure that’s still in use today, and its role in supplying water to one of Maine's largest cities.
This is a free event and is open to everyone. Thomas Hill Road will be one way from Union to Ohio Street on the day of the tour. We ask that children under 12 be accompanied by an adult. Food, drinks, pets, and smoking are not permitted. Come and enjoy the view!
