Prince Memorial Library and Tuttle Road Community Church present an early evening of music and community -- a great opportunity to hear local performers flex their skills or try out new pieces for an audience.
For new performers, this is a relaxed and fun opportunity to become comfortable performing live in front of an audience. For seasoned performers, come try out new or established material and join an enthusiastic music community!

Admission is free. Refreshments will be available for a donation. Offered monthly on first Thursdays (November - May) at Tuttle Road Community Church, 52 Tuttle Road, Cumberland

A visual exhibition, " Outside In" with Judith Allen-Efstathiou’s work including copper sculptures made from reused, vintage copper from the Maine as well as cyanotypes, lithographs and drawings.
For First Friday October 3 and November 7th from 5- 7:00pm the artist will be at the gallery and is happy to discuss her work with visitors
The exhibition runs until November 20 and is open 24/7
on the lower level of the Press Hotel below reception.

The Maine Boat & Home Show features Maine's finest artists, architects, boatbuilders, craftsmen, designers, furniture makers, jewelers, marine gear vendors, live music, and delicious food together in ONE place at ONE time! Meet them all in person at the annual Maine Boat & Home Show. This event is the largest in-the-water boat show north of Newport. Admission: $15 adult ticket (12 and under always get in free). Gates open at 10 a.m. daily, no pets allowed.

Portland’s First Friday Art Walk is a free self-guided tour of art galleries, art studios, museums, and alternative art venues on the first Friday of every month from 5-8pm. Its mission is to open the doors of Portland’s visual arts community by joining together and introducing a wider audience to the unique vitality of the artists and venues of Portland, promoting interest with non-exclusivity and easy-access, thereby strengthening the arts and community through diversity and celebration.

Calling musicians of all levels! Please come and join us on the second Saturday of each month from 1:00 to 3:00 pm for a community - based open mic session. All levels and musical genres are welcome as are individuals, duos, groups, whatever. This will be an all - acoustic session but there will be a small Fishman amplifier and microphone available on an as needed basis.

Our open mic group shall endeavor to provide a fun and judgement free opportunity to share our musical offerings with others. Original compositions as well as covers are welcomed. Please pass the word to friends and let's create a community where we can gather to play, sing, laugh, learn and get to know our neighbors. The event shall be by donation ($2 suggested) with all proceeds going to The Gatherings.

Come and experience one of the classic early D&D adventure modules. Explore a branching, non-linear, reactive dungeon inhabited by multiple factions and loot their stuff ! Utilizing Basic D&D for simple character creation and a rules light approach.

Casual drop-in/drop-out play — come when you can!

Join your neighbors and meet new friends at the Surry Contra Dance!

Community Dance 6pm - 7pm
This fun and friendly dance for all ages is led by Bagaduce Music with support by the Open Band (open to all musicians, instruments & skill levels). Show up 15 minutes early to get situated if you’d like to play with us! There's no admission charge for the community dance, but donations are very welcome.

Contra Dance 7pm - 10pm
Contra dance is easy to learn since all dances are taught. Everyone is welcome to dance, regardless of age or dancing ability! There's no need to bring a partner either!
The cost is sliding scale, $15-$25 suggested, under 18s pay 1/2 their age. This dance helps support the Arbutus Grange.
