VINALHAVEN, Maine - Maine drug agents say they have arrested three people in connection with the discovery of an alleged methamphetamine manufacturing lab in Vinalhaven.
Police received complaints from the public that prompted an investigation, and on Wednesday the Knox County Sheriff's Office and the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency went to a tool shed on a property on the island and found what appeared to be a meth lab.
Agents arrested 20-year-old Hilary Walker and 23-year-old Owen Adair, who both live in the island community; and 25-year-old Ryan Rairdon of Houlton.
All three face drug trafficking charges.
Agents say the owner of the property was not aware the shed was being used for illegal activity.
The investigation is ongoing and more arrests are possible.
