Augusta Woman Still Missing After Crash Last Week

AUGUSTA, Maine - An Augusta woman is still missing after she mysteriously vanished following a car accident last week.

The Portland Press Herald reports the Augusta Police Department posted a notice on their Facebook page Monday saying that 19-year-old Brianna Wilson is considered a missing person.

Police say Wilson contacted her parents on Dec. 21 to notify them of a car accident she had just been in. After Wilson never returned home, her parents reported her missing on Dec. 23.

State police reported a single-car accident on the Maine Turnpike near Kittery that involved Wilson's vehicle. A man was in the car when troopers responded but Wilson was not at the scene.

Cumberland County Sheriff's Lt. Don Foss says his department's investigation leads them to believe Wilson may be back in Augusta.
