Gale grew up in Vermont where he lived until moving to Maine in the fall of 2016. His passion for classical music started back in high school while taking a music history and theory class. The history portion of this course started Gale on a lifelong journey of exploration and enjoyment of the genre with a keen interest in the Baroque period. Matter of fact, if he had to choose one composer to listen to for the rest of his life, it would be J.S. Bach.
Gale’s passion for choral music really shines during the holiday season as he is the creator and curator of the Maine Public Classical Holiday stream. In addition to classical, Gale has a wide passion for music in general, including other genres ranging from rock and smooth jazz to pop and country. His broadcast career spans 30 years. Gale loves the outdoors. He spends time running, cross country skiing, snow shoeing, hiking, biking, and more! He resides in the Sebago area with his dog Hetty.
