Maine Gov. Paul LePage will return to the Blaine House, CBS News and the Bangor Daily News project.
The incumbent Republican has eked out a win against Democratic challenger Mike Michaud, who had represented Maine's 2nd Congressional District for six terms before deciding to make a run for governor.
At this hour, Michaud is conceding the race to LePage.
For weeks, polls have indicated a tight race, and that's what returns have confirmed: With 62 percent of precincts reporting, LePage has 48 percent of the vote to Michaud's 44 percent. Independent candidate Eliot Cutler has just over 8 percent.
