Maine Emergency Management Agency Director Sworn Into Office

AUGUSTA, Maine - Maine Gov. Janet Mills has sworn in the new director of the Maine Emergency Management Agency. Peter Rogers has been serving as acting director since June and deputy director since 2014.

His nomination was approved unanimously by the Joint Standing Committee on Criminal Justice and Public Safety and the Maine Senate, and he was sworn into office on Tuesday.

Mills said she looks forward to "working with him to protect the safety of Maine people.''
