The 3-year search to identify a 17-second song clip has been solved

(SOUNDBITE OF SONG, "EVERYONE KNOWS THAT (ULTERIOR MOTIVES)")

CHRISTOPHER DAVID BOOTH: (Singing) You're counting all your sheep in disguise.

A MARTÍNEZ, HOST:

Good morning. I'm A Martínez with an update to a story we told you about in February. The three-year search to identify the 17-second song clip that you're listening to known as "Everyone Knows That" has been solved. The key was identifying the song by its alternative name, "Ulterior Motives." Internet sleuths used a publishing database to narrow down the potential songwriters. One Reddit user found it was credited to Christopher and Philip Adrian Booth, who premiered the tune in an adult film. Mmm-hmm.
