On Saturday, July 16, from 8 a.m.-noon, five nonprofits will host yard sales at five different stops on Rt. 172 in Surry.
On sale will be thousands of choice items, snacks, and baked goods, with proceeds going to benefit the Surry Garden Club (Rural Hall-680 Surry Rd.), The Gatherings (1208 Surry Rd.), Surry Historical Society (Old Town Hall-1217 Surry Rd.), Arbutus Grange (1229 Surry Rd.) and Old Village School (7 Toddy Pond Rd.). The sale will go on, rain or shine as each group has indoor space. All are welcome, but nothing will be on sale before 8 a.m.
