Join Scarborough Land Trust and Scarborough Public Library to celebrate apple season with a story time and cider pressing event!
We will read stories about apple varieties and trees, then use a press to make cider.
Bring your apples if you wish to use the press!
Storytime and cider pressing will be led by Kelly Pietrzak. Kelly loves to work with children: from coaching youth sports, to leading youth nature hikes, to homeschooling her own two children. She previously ran a nature education business for preschool aged children and has a Master’s in Education teaching mostly middle school math but also at the elementary and college level. She loves to camp, tend her ever expanding gardens, and trail run with the family dog. This is the third year Kelly has led walks for children with Scarborough Land Trust, and her second year serving on SLT’s Communication, Education, and Outreach Committee.
