Author Visit: Johanna Mangion

Author Visit: Johanna Mangion

Meet local author Johanna Mangion, a beloved resident of Kittery, ME, and the author of the mystery novel Tripped Up in Kittery. Set primarily in Kittery, York, and Portsmouth, the novel brings familiar local scenes to life.
A longtime devotee of mysteries, Johanna's writing reflects influences from Dickens, Agatha Christie, Robert Parker, and Elizabeth Peters. Readers who enjoy pets as central characters won’t want to miss Spencer—the only true-to-life character in her book.
Johanna is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College, where she majored in art history, and Boston University, where she earned an MBA in finance. She has also studied poetry with poet Kimberly Green. Tripped Up in Kittery marks her debut in prose fiction.
