The 8th Annual Checking for Charity hosted by the South Portland Professional Firefighters is free and open to the public. Proceeds raised this year will benefit the Center for Grieving Children and other local organizations. This fun-filled event includes a silent auction, concessions and a cash bar—plus you can meet former pro players, Beacon the Puffin from the Maine Mariners, and Slugger the Sea Dog!
