Celebrate our region’s rich cultural heritage with all-ages, all-inclusive interactive art activities, gallery receptions, live music, film, dance, storytelling, puppetry, parades and more. We partner with local arts and community organizations to present a series of events that are mostly outdoors and free, to welcome and encourage participation by community members and visitors alike.

Our August weekend celebrates the sea with the 2nd Annual Mermaid Parade on Saturday August 5th. Local artists will help you create your mermaid attire, and the "Tales of Quoddy Bay" puppet theater returns. Featured installation artist Chuck Kniffen from Lubec will present a beach-trash and sea-junk puppet making workshop in Eastport. On Sunday, join LAMPS for an Ed Sullivan-style variety show overlooking the bay at Stockford Park in Lubec. Even mermaid mustard for National Mustard Day!
