Three Downeast Maine women will share their personal journeys of inspiration from the ocean waters that surround us and the Blue Mussels that live in the intertidal zone of those beautiful waters.
Join us for an afternoon to pause, learn about and taste the amazing Blue Mussel while hearing first hand from three Maine women what inspired them to pursue their current careers.

Shey Conover MUSSEL FARMER
As the co-owner of Marshall Cove Mussels, Shey will share what inspired her to establish a Blue Mussel farm in the ocean waters near the island community of Islesboro.
Carolyn Butera ARTIST
Carolyn lives on the Blue Hill Peninsula in Maine and works as a visual artist. She is currently producing a collection of highly detailed, watercolor “portrait paintings” of Blue Mussel shells from Downeast Maine,
