Just in time for Valentine’s Day, learn to make your own candy! In this hands-on workshop, attendees will explore Needhams, an iconic Maine candy made from our state's top crop - potatoes! Learn the story behind this tasty treat, explore fun recipe variations, and whip up a batch of your own with potatoes grown right here in Maine. Each student will leave with potato candy recipes and their own batch of handmade Needhams to share with family and friends. This class is suitable for beginners; all supplies, ingredients and recipes will be provided. This class is taught by Liz Gross, Maine Tasting Center.
