AROUND THE COVE | 36.42 minutes | by Noah Keates | Maine | Short synopsis: Around the Cove tells the story of the 2024 Back Cove Backyard Ultra Marathon. On a hot July weekend, 121 runners gather at Portland, Maine’s Back Cove trail to push themselves to their physical and emotional limit one 4-mile gravel loop at a time. Through the eyes of six competitors, we follow the journey to exhaustion and beyond.
