Paul Howe, Esq., Vice President at Starboard Leadership and Karen Kemble, Esq., Associate Director of Planned Giving at the University of Maine Foundation presenting PG 102 Part 1: “Practical Planned Giving: Understanding the Basics You Need to Succeed” and PG 102 Part 2: “Interactive Workshop: Helping Your Donor Find the Best Option for Them”.

Other breakout sessions that will be offered are "The Clear and Not So Clear Ethical Lines in Planned Giving" by J. Bradford Coffey, Esq., Senior Vice President and Foundation President at Covenant Health and Sarah McPartland-Good, Esq. Foundation General Counsel at the University of Maine Foundation. Nancy Fox, Senior Director, Development at The Jackson Laboratory (JAX) and Matt Mullen, Associate Director at the University of Maine Foundation will also be presenting “Legislative & Tax Provision Updates: Looking Back On the Year & Ahead to Next”.

This conference remains the largest annual offering for fundraisers in Maine. Conference attendees include Maine non-profit executive directors and development staffers, members of various professional associations as well as people who provide wealth management and trust services. Founded in 1995, MPGC is the sole Maine chapter of the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners. The Council provides its members with information about the benefits of implementing planned giving programs and the ethical obligations of planned giving professionals through our annual conference and regular Lunch & Learn/hosted Webinar programs on planned giving techniques, strategies and trends.
