The renowned Portland String Quartet will offer this free concert in collaboration with Mechanics’ Hall, to thank Portland and Maine for over a half century of support. Doors open at 5 p.m.

About the Portland String Quartet:
With its 54th concert season, the Portland String Quartet continues to bring great chamber music to Portland, the State of Maine, and around the world. The Quartet has a history of performing and recording the works of both new and under-represented composers as well as great composers of the past, and has inspired generations of players, teachers, and chamber music aficionados throughout Maine and beyond.
