This event is organized by the Falmouth Memorial Library and features two speakers from OceanView: Shireen Shahawy and Tamera Vogel.

Shireen and Tamera will lead an interesting conversation about planning for your future retirement. They will:

go through the steps you can start considering as early as 10 years before you plan to retire.
present ideas to think about and discuss with your family.
go over what to think about when touring retirement communities.
discuss what you should research about home care and your surroundings if you decide you are staying in your home.
The best time to start this process is years before that retirement date. These speakers from OceanView at Falmouth and Cumberland Crossing by OceanView will be talking broadly. This is not a sales presentation, but rather a helpful discussion about how to be proactive.

Shireen Shahawy, Director of Sales and Marketing for OceanView at Falmouth & Cumberland Crossing

Shireen joined the OceanView family in October 2021 as Assistant Director of Sales and Marketing and became the director of the department in January of 2023. She oversees the marketing and sales for both OceanView at Falmouth and Cumberland Crossing. She has focused on marketing communications work for most of her adult life. Most recently, she was the Executive Director of the Friends of the Kotzschmar Organ. Additionally, she is a professional voice actor. She lives in Portland with her husband.

Tamera Vogel, Sales & Marketing Consultant for OceanView at Falmouth Assisted Living and Legacy Memory Care

Tamera has been with OceanView since late 2017. She manages the sales process at OceanView’s Falmouth House Assisted Living and Legacy Memory Care communities. She brings business and sales experience with a compassionate desire to guide families in finding care for loved ones. Tamera was recently a Financial Advisor with Northwestern Mutual and Prudential after a long career at Unum. She lives in Yarmouth with her husband.
