Twelfth Annual Maine Military Community Network Conference
The Maine Military and Community Network is pleased to announce the 12th Annual MMCN Conference: Whole Health and Community: It Takes a Village on Friday, June 14, 2024, taking place at the Holiday Inn by the Bay, Portland.
The opening keynote speaker, Suzanne Rancourt, is a veteran of both the United States Marine Corps and the United States Army as well as being an Abenaki and Huron descendant. She is a multimodal artist born and raised in the mountains of West Central Maine.
Suzanne's Keynote, Rituals of Integration – How we do anything, is how we do everything, will explore, various models of rituals, that as people, we engage in daily. Using narratives, that employ her natural storytelling ability, and reflect her West Central Maine origins, she will bridge neuroscience, mental health practices, and veteran and civilian cultures, to offer suggestions, considerations, and practical means to enhance both professional and personal lives.
Conference Fees include lunch and continuing education credits (CEUs).
The Maine Military and Community Network is a community effort to understand, prevent, and help address the challenges faced by current and former military members and their families, as well as their communities.
