Village Harmony Teen World Music Traveling Camp in Concert

Village Harmony Teen World Music Traveling Camp in Concert
Village Harmony, the remarkable teen world music ensemble, will present music from Caucasus Georgia, the Balkans, South Africa, as well as American shape-note songs and Renaissance choral works in a family-friendly concert. Led by Sinead O’Mahoney (Boston, MA), Carl Linich (Hyde Park, NY), Hannah Levy (Nashville, TN), and Ethan Sudan (Bellows Falls, VT), the teen singers come from eight states plus France.
Village Harmony, a non-profit umbrella organization based in Vermont, promotes the study and performance of ethnic singing traditions from around the world. Each Village Harmony ensemble develops its own unique sound with a different team of leaders. All share common traits: a powerful, natural, unrestrained vocal sound; a remarkable variety of vocal styles and timbres appropriate to the ethnic and traditional music; and a visible, vibrant community among the singers and audience as they share in a joyful celebration of music.
